What To Expect

Ending Female Veteran Homelessness. A singular approach that focuses efforts and resources on prevention and early intervention versus the current model of reacting to homelessness once it actually occurs. We leverage strong peer-to-peer networks; which are inclusive of veterans helping veterans; as well as social and community networks.
We engage in activities related to resolving homelessness in our female veteran population and do so with total transparency, allowing the data to be disseminated to the public with the intent of tapping into the vast networks of problem solvers within communities and throughout the country.
Our goal is to assist each female veteran to transition from homelessness into the workforce and ultimately become a proud independent contributor to society.

AmericaServes (Housing/Charlotte & Asheville area)

AmericaServes.org website is moving!

We’re moving our website to be part of our parent organization: the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF). This move will allow us to better align our program with the rest of the amazing programs and services the IVMF offers. To learn more about the IVMF, go to ivmf.syracuse.edu.

IVMF is indebted to the men and women who served in Afghanistan and Iraq, their service did not come without sacrifice as some carry physical and emotional wounds. We must ensure they get the care they’ve earned and deserve. The Veteran Crisis Line is also available around-the-clock at 1-800-273-8255 (veterans should select option 1 for a VA staffer.) Veterans, troops or their family members can also text 838255 or visit VeteransCrisisLine.net for assistance.

During this time of uncertainty and need, the Institute for Veterans and Military Families also stands ready to assist you with resources and information.  Thank you.
