What To Expect

Ending Female Veteran Homelessness. A singular approach that focuses efforts and resources on prevention and early intervention versus the current model of reacting to homelessness once it actually occurs. We leverage strong peer-to-peer networks; which are inclusive of veterans helping veterans; as well as social and community networks.
We engage in activities related to resolving homelessness in our female veteran population and do so with total transparency, allowing the data to be disseminated to the public with the intent of tapping into the vast networks of problem solvers within communities and throughout the country.
Our goal is to assist each female veteran to transition from homelessness into the workforce and ultimately become a proud independent contributor to society.

Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Program (CA)

Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Program
Accordingly, the State of California established the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Program in 1989 under Public Contract Code 10115 to primarily help DVBEs compete more effectively for a portion of those dollars, and to promote self-reliance for California's disabled veterans by offering veterans the opportunity to gain experience in business, while sharing their expertise with the citizens of California and provide a goal of awarding 3% of all state contracts to certified DVBEs. The State of California contracts billions of dollars for goods and services to ensure California's economy stays healthy, strong, and prosperous and promotes business opportunities and participation for all of its citizenry. Small businesses, including veterans, disabled veterans, and disabled veteran business enterprises are instrumental to the good health of the State's economy and a principal source of new jobs in California. The program also facilitates the integration of disabled veterans into California's entrepreneurial economy because of their incomparable sacrifices made when they answered their Country's call.

Women Veterans
California is home to nearly 163,000 women who served in our U.S. military. They are Veterans, family members, friends, business owners, professionals, community leaders, and advocates. Women Veterans served in every major U.S. conflict and in peacetime since our Revolutionary War. For this they are owed a great debt of gratitude.
